So, you’ve decided to check out one of FIF’s Sunday Gatherings.  You’ve got all kinds of questions swimming through your head:  What time is it?  What do I wear?  What about my kids? Do they single out visitors?  How long does it last?  Checking out a new church can be stressful.  We get it.  So here’s what you can expect:

Our Sunday Gathering starts at 10:30 AM.  Our dress code is very simple:  please do.  We have people who dress in suits and dresses, and others who wear jeans.  Wear whatever’s comfortable.  When you arrive, you’ll meet some of our volunteers.  If you have children wish for them to go to the children’s programming, they’ll direct you to our sign in table, where a volunteer will help you check your children in.

Our Sunday Gathering lasts around 65 minutes.  We’ll sing several songs.  We do a mixture of  modern songs and hymns.  If you know the words, feel free to sing along.  If you’re not the singing type (you’ll get along really well with our preacher!), that’s fine, too.  After several songs, we’ll take the Lord’s Supper, which is something our church does every week to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus.  We’ll also take up an offering.  There’s no pressure on you to give at all.  We then have a short time of prayer, and then the message which comes straight from the Bible and applies to your life.  Our service wraps up with a final song and a few brief announcements around 12:05.

Notice anything missing?  Yeah, where we single out visitors.  That’s because we don’t.  We want your visit with us to be as comfortable as possible, and if we can answer any questions, please feel free to ask.
