"What does the Bible say about that?" This is a great question about any aspect of life, decision, or problem. For the month of June, we will explore five important things about the world, the church, parents, and kids.
We've all seen late-night infomercials that promise something great for $19.95, but how often are we disappointed with what comes in the mail? It's not just products, but people who let us down. Often our pursuit of pleasure, money, love, and joy falls short of the abundant life Jesus promised his followers.
The US Army used to have a slogan "Be all that you can be." The church has been given power by Jesus himself to minister to the hurting and to bring light into the darkness. But in America, a lot of congregations are shining about as much light as a candle in a hurricane. The bible explains how the body of Christ can reclaim its potential.
Do you have a hard time relating to kids? How about teenagers? (Maybe not if you ARE a teenager...) We are all role models to someone, and they are usually younger than us. Whether you're a parent, or just an example, what's important isn't being "cool". It's being godly. Let's talk about how to relate to our children with our godly example.
