The Upside Down Way of Jesus
You don't have to follow Jesus long before encountering some controversial teachings. He frequently mentioned ideas and statements that would have made those listening quite uncomfortable: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” “If someone strikes you on the cheek, turn the other cheek as well,” “It’s hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.” Perhaps his early followers and we are left sarcastically asking the question, “Wait…what?!” This new series will unpack several teachings of Jesus and how "upside down" contradictory they are to the way we see things. Re-Decorating Christmas
Usually around the end of November neighborhoods and shopping centers, restaurants and churches decorate for Christmas (unless you have one of those weird neighbors who leaves their decorations up all year). There are certain objects that, when we see them, it makes us think of the holidays. Yet, sometimes those decorations don't seem to point toward the real message of Christmas at all. What if we Re-Decorated Christmas with our lives, by living the message of Jesus' birth? And what if we were really "weird" and we kept those decorations up all year long?

Heroes vs. Villains

You Have My Words

Jesus spent the last few hours before his death teaching, encouraging, and warning his disciples about what was to come. And he made some important promises.
